I’ve heard yet another definition of FUI this past week. “Fantasy User Interface” It seems everyone agrees on UI’s meaning at least! Lol! So that now brings the list of what F in FUI stands for to:
Fantasy
Fake
Futuristic
I’m sure there are probably more potential candidates for what the F stands for out there but does it really matter anyway? We all know what one is referring to when they say FUI. This being the internet though, it probably matters very deeply to a few people so I will defer to others in this case and just stick with FUI.
I could make tons more of these flat grid elements! I have so many different ideas about how these planes could move and what sort of information they could be conveying. I have to stop at some point and think what is going to be the most useful to the widest array of people though.
Today I have a pack of five more flat grid elements animating in different ways. Some are designed to potentially work together and some are their own things entirely. If there is something in particular that you’ve got in mind for the animation don’t hesitate to leave a request in the comments section. I’ll do my best to create something that suits your needs.
Once again, I’ve included a few render passes to help achieve whatever look you might be after. There is a beauty pass, an emission pass if you do not like the partially transparent effect, a transmission pass if you want to increase the rough transparent effect and an always useful z-depth pass.
Each render pass is provided as a ProRes 4444. The resolution of each is 2160 x 2160.
