I got a couple new pieces of gear to make my spherical pano captures easier. I got a nice sturdy monopod instead of the bulky tripod I was using before. There is a lot less clean up to do around the nadir of the capture with the monopod. I also picked up a manufactured spherical panorama tripod head. I had been using one that I 3D printed for a few years but pieces were starting to break and need to be replaced or adjusted more and more often. It served me well but spherical heads have come down in price a lot in the last few years.
This is a very recent capture so I haven’t found a lot of use for it yet. It is interesting how blue the overall light is and how green the shadows are. This will provide a nicely stylized lighting set up that indicates a natural scene. The lighting from this one really feels like it is a forest.
