Download four HDRI 360ºx180º equirectangular images. These were captured with about 17 stops of latitude so you will get some decent shadows but not the hardest shadows ever.

Pano 01

Pano 01 Shader Ball

This HDRI was captured in early spring around 12 PM. In the American mid-west.

Pano 01 Little Planet

Pano 02

Pano 02 Shader Ball

This HDRI was captured on a somewhat hazy day in early spring shortly before noon in the American mid-west.

Pano 02 Little Planet

Pano 03

Pano 03 Shader Ball

This HDRI was captured in a marsh field in early spring around noon in the American mid-west, (do you see a theme developing?)

Pano 03 Little Planet

Pano 04

Pano 04 Shader Ball

This HDRI was also captured in a marsh on a cloudy day shortly after noon in the spring in the American mid-west.

Pano 04 Little Planet

All of these HDRIs are equirectangular mapped for use as CG light sources. The little planet images are just easier to look at and see what is there.

All HDRI are provided as 32-bit .EXRs

Use these HDRI in any way you see fit for either personal, academic or commercial projects. Credit is not required but it’s always nice! If you are going to give credit please do so like this:

There are 2 restrictions to this license:

You cannot resell these HDRI on their own or part of package of HDRI. You can give them to others provided you acknowledge where you downloaded them from (here).

You cannot sell a derivative work that is not substantially different than these HDRI. I.E. You cannot sell prints of these images. You can however sell derivative works that are substantially different wherein these images are a portion either as lighting or backgrounds.

If you end up using these and would like to share how you’ve used them, please do so! Leave a link in the comments below. HDRI with greater latitude and higher resolutions are on the way. Let me know what sort of HDRI you’d like to see in the future and I’ll see what I can do.
