Being in the house so much lately, I’ve spent a lot of time looking at the different things people are doing with motion graphics and animation. It seems everyone is trying to find outlets for their creative energy. Animation and motion graphics are such a natural fit since one doesn’t always need a lot of outside resources to make something interesting.
Lately, I’ve been into the FUI stuff I’ve been seeing. There is so much creativity in the space! Just for one example check out Perception. Their work is really interesting and they seem very generous with their time and to the community of motion graphics and animation artists.
As a brief aside, what does FUI stand for exactly? I’ve heard both “fake user interface” and “futuristic user interface.” Maybe context determines what’s right.
I guess the cabin fever may be slowly melting my brain since I seem to have written a much longer intro than usual. Who really reads this part anyway? Get on with the free stuff, right?
