Part 2 of the screen insert tutorial series. If you haven’t watched part 1 yet do so here. I mostly skip over what I covered in part 1 so check back there if you get lost.
Follow along with this tutorial to learn one way to deal with oddly shaped screens and what to do with objects that pass in front of the screen when inserting a screen element in post. Screen inserts are one of the most commonly requested VFX shots in production. It doesn’t hurt to have a couple of these on your reel. This tutorial is suitable for new-ish After Effects users that have some experience with screen inserts of have watched part 1 of this tutorial series. I’m sharing some more advanced tips and techniques I’ve picked up from nearly a decade as a professional VFX artist.
